Hi, I’m Irene Sofia Koutsidis-Martelli — Licensed Clinical Social Worker, founder of Irene Sofia Therapy and someone who knows healing is about more than just “talking it out.”

“Irene Sofia” means Peace Wisdom in my native culture. That’s what I’m here to help you build: peace in your mind and body, and the wisdom to know when you don’t have to do it all alone.

I bring nearly a decade of clinical experience—and a lifetime of lived insight—to this work.

My style is honest, relational, and zero-fluff. In our sessions, we’ll look at what’s been running the show beneath the surface and help your nervous system learn it’s safe to be at ease again.

I combine traditional and holistic approaches to help you regulate, heal, and actually feel like yourself again, including:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): to help you identify and shift thought patterns that keep you stuck.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): to give you practical tools for regulating emotions and managing stress in the moment.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): to help you accept what you can’t control and take action on what you can.

Internal Family Systems (IFS): to gently explore and heal the different “parts” of you shaped by past experiences.

Mind-body and nervous system regulation practices: to help you reconnect with your body, release stored stress, and feel grounded again.
